Homework Policy:
I firmly believe in creating a parent-teacher-child team. In order to make this happen, involvement and communication are key. Class work will be sent home in a blue Monday Folder. Please review the work and return the empty folder on Tuesday or the following school day. This folder will also contain any communication from the school.
In addition, a red Homework folder will be sent home Monday – Thursday and should be returned each day. Homework assignments and any special instructions regarding your child for a given day should be sent in this red folder to insure that it is received! In addition to nightly homework assignments Monday-Thursday, please make sure that your child is reading/being read to for a minimum of 20 minutes each night. Once we begin sending home baggy books, there will be a reading log for you to sign each night to verify that you have listened to your child read their book. Reading with your child can be one of the greatest influences on his/her reading success!
